Well funny story about that. I live on the second floor and that's the door that leads to the attic. However through that door, there is no floor and a 12 ft drop on top of the fire place. So I have it covered, just in case.

nah, you don't need any lighting at all. Any lamp will do. You also don't need a fancy $2k DSLR to do it. Any webcam that can do 720p@ 30 fps (read: ALL OF THEM) will get the job done. Even a cellphone cam will work, so long as it isn't lowlight.

Just make sure you get the angle right once you set the thing down, because moving the thing around mid-action just breaks the flow and makes everything awkward. And for god sakes, if you're doing a doggie scene, don't put the damn camera behi...

...you never said what kind of video you were shooting. Umm. Well. This isn't awkward...

...I'll just leave now.
